The scenery is detailed: the use of moss and bark makes the landscape realistic, with dense vegetation and surrounding rocky walls.
In the lower left part, there is a cave housing the Nativity, while above it, a village in the background adds depth to the scene.
Next to the cave is a fountain with a shepherd, equipped with a working pump for water circulation: water flows from the copper spout into the basin below.
Complete with statues from the Landi Moranduzzo series, the nativity scene includes the characters visible in the photo with a real height of about 7 cm.
