The statue depicts Jesus seated on the donkey while holding a palm branch, symbolizing the entry into Jerusalem. The scene is characterized by meticulous craftsmanship and fabric clothing that give realism and naturalness to the figure.
The figure can be removed from the donkey. The palm branch can be taken out of the hand, and thanks to the internal wire core and soft clothing, it is possible to modify the position of the statue with attention to the more delicate parts; the figure is articulated at the elbows, shoulders, knees, and hips, while the torso can partially rotate.
These features allow the same figure to be used over time to create different settings and representations.
